One of the premier summer tourist destinations on Lake Winnipesaukee, Meredith has been enticing summer visitors since 1768. Known for agriculture especially apple orchards, Meredith grew into a mill town during the late 1800’s. When the Boston, Concord and Montreal Railroad connected to the town in 1849 Meredith quickly became known as a summer retreat. Meredith has waterfront on Lake Winnipesauke, Lake Waukewan and Lake Winnisqaum making it an excellent place for enjoying all the activities that lakeside living has to offer.
