Located on the northern side of Lake Winnipesaukee, Tuftonboro is a quaint New England community. The town is made up by the villages of Mirror Lake, Tuftonboro Corner and Melvin Village and is a great place for those who love the outdoors. Incorporated in 1795, the hilly terrain was the perfect place to raise cattle and sheep. Today Tuftonboro is a summer playground with many lake activities available as well as hiking and camping in the Ossipee Mountains. Tuftonboro is also home to the prestigious Bald Peak Colony Club which is a gated waterfront golf community on the shores of Winnipesaukee.
